NMC OSCE Update - OSCE Viva
NursingjobsUK
Leaders in International Healthcare Recruitment -Over 5000 International Nurses and Health care Assistant placed.
Starting on the 23rd October 2023, OSCE test centres will introduce the OSCE Viva. This new component will be accessible to candidates in all nursing fields, midwifery, and those seeking to be registered as a nursing associate. The Viva offers candidates a chance to address any mistakes they may have made during the OSCE evaluation. If addressed properly, they will have the opportunity to amend the grading for that specific station.
The rollout of the Viva exam will be phased, commencing with just one station. This addition won't alter the written segments of the test. Instead, it will serve as an enhancing feature to give a more comprehensive evaluation of a candidate's readiness for the profession. This approach enables candidates to display their hands-on expertise, interpersonal skills, and decision-making abilities.

Our visit to the NMC Test Centre at Northumbria University
On Tuesday 17th October, we had the pleasure of visiting the NMC Test Centre at Northumbria University's Coach Lane Campus. Having been awarded a contract to become one of five national NMC Competence Test Centres, in partnership with The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Northumbria University opened to their first OSCE candidates in late March 2022.
We at NursingjobsUK were keen to visit the test centre as part of our overall preparation for our candidates in terms of managing bookings and logistics. We were hugely impressed with the facility and the great support given to candidates.
You can visit the NMC Test Centre's website at Northumbria University here

All our training is delivered by NMC registered nurses.
