Nkosh Revolution: Cultivating Change and Empowering Women in Agriculture
In India, the vital role of women in agriculture often goes unnoticed. Contrary to popular belief, it is women who bear the weight of the agricultural sector, contributing significantly to its success. With 80% of women engaged in farming activities, they are the backbone of our agricultural landscape, while men pursue opportunities in other sectors.
However, a significant issue arises when we consider the sacrifices made by young girls forced to forego their education to support their families in the fields. Meanwhile, their male counterparts continue their studies with the expectation of becoming future breadwinners.
Aligned with the "United Nations Sustainable Development Goals," Nkosh is dedicated to sustainable development.
The crux of the matter lies in the labor-intensive nature of traditional farming practices. Women work tirelessly in the fields, managing farm accounts, yet many of them lack ownership of any assets in their names. It is imperative that we address this inequality and strive for a solution.
Nkosh? journey is a pledge to social progress, gender equality, and the creation of equal opportunities for women in the workforce. We are committed to empowering women to become equal breadwinners in their families. It is time for the agricultural sector to recognize and appreciate the true heroines who cultivate the future of our food supply.
