Nissan Patrol Review: An Ideal Go-Anywhere Family SUV

Nissan’s flagship offering, the Patrol, is not just another SUV on sale in the UAE. It is one of the few that are worshipped because of its exceptional capabilities. Here is our review of the Nissan Patrol.

History

The Nissan Patrol’s history dates back to the post-traumatic era of World War II when Nissan started producing the Patrol with an engine sourced from a bus. During that time, there was very little emphasis on comfort, highlighting its utilitarian character.

Exterior Design

This Nissan Patrol is adorned in a grey exterior paint scheme, enhancing the SUV’s large proportions. The colour also complements the chrome trim pieces peppered all around. Being the top-spec trim, the SUV boasts 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

From the side, the Patrol’s 3,075mm wheelbase gives you a clear idea of the spacious real estate on the inside. Nissan has also done a brilliant job of maintaining the Patrol’s premium looks without any cladding.

Interiors

The top-spec trims come with all the bells and whistles. This particular Patrol features tan upholstery with quilted leather, a standard fitment for the SE Platinum City variant. This makes the interior appealing and luxurious.

Despite not having a sunroof, the Patrol’s large windows and an even larger D-pillar glass let in enough light into the cabin to give it an airy feeling. Speaking of an airy atmosphere, it boasts 3-zone climate control and powered seats, including the third row.
