NIO and LONGi Enter Into Strategic Agreement

On January 3, NIO and LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (LONGi) jointly announced a strategic cooperation agreement.

The two parties will work closely together to promote the use of green and clean energy for photovoltaic power generation in charging and battery swapping stations, build industry-leading integrated photovoltaic storage and charging and battery swapping stations, and cooperate in promoting distributed solar and V2G vehicle-network interaction, and establishing industry standards for carbon neutrality in mobility. The two sides aim to contribute toward achieving the goal of "peak carbon and carbon neutrality" in the transportation sector.

Fei SHEN, Senior Vice President of NIO, signed the agreement with Sergey LYU, Head of Products and Solutions Center of LONGi, on behalf of the two parties. William LI, Chairman of NIO, and Baoshen ZHONG, Chairman of LONGi, witnessed the signing ceremony.

NIO is a leading smart electric vehicle company, and operates the world’s largest network of battery swapping stations for smart electric vehicles. As of now, the company has over 2,300 Power Swap Stations up and running across the globe. NIO is also the automaker with the largest number of chargers in China.

Recently, the first Power Swap Station with Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) cell technology was put into operation at Xi’an Olympic Sports Center with the joint effort of NIO and LONGi. Going forward, we will keep upgrading our technology and products and expanding our network to deliver a Recharging Experience Beyond Refueling.
