Nine Stories

I think of myself as a sort of satellite that orbits the planet of you. That’s how I approach the photography part of this. You are a fascinating planet, like Jupiter, and I want to capture your nuances. After that we get into the atmosphere. I get to know you. I ask you big questions and the rest is just listening. Sometimes I can do it all with one picture sometimes it takes several. With Marshall it took nine. I think the combination of photography with storytelling yields a fairly accurate picture. The idea is to enter with your eyes and exit with your heart. That’s what I try to do with ODE. This is the last one I did of Marshall but I’ll show you one image more tomorrow, the collage, the amalgam of them all.
