Nine Months

Dear Eliana Rose,
On February 7, 2011, I was a college graduate who couldn’t afford to pay my share of the rent, so I had to move out. I dreamed of owning my own house one day.
I was driving your Aunt’s Ford Escort Zx2 Sport to and from work. I dreamed of buying my own car with air conditioning one day.
I lacked confidence after so many companies wouldn’t hire me because of my resume. I dreamed of a company that would just give me a chance.
I developed a negative mindset and thought that I didn’t have anything. I dreamed of having something!
What I realize now is that my dreams were already coming true because I had your mommy in my corner. She let me move into your Grandma’s house.
She had a shiny green Honda Accord with tinted windows. I felt so cool when she let me drive it.
When a career opportunity and the chance I was dreaming of presented itself #VillageGreen, I still lacked the confidence to send in my resume. Your mommy did it for me.
Nine months later, on November 7, 2011, I started my career at Village Green. Nine months from now will be nine years for me. Nine months ago, you were born. Great things can happen in nine months.
Ellie, if you get a chance to read this one day you will see why your daddy goes to work with positivity and comes home with positivity.
He’s thankful! When he looks into your eyes, he sees your mommy’s too. It's in those moments he also sees all his dreams have come true. Yours will too!

4 年Joe, Glad to see you are still the positive guy I remember nine years ago. You are killing it brother and it only gets better. Congrats on that beautiful baby. Watch out it goes by fast. I'm still grateful for you climbing up in my attic and helping install insulation when my wife was pregnant with our first baby girl. She will be 8 in a few months...
