Yes, Taylor Swift’s latest studio album The Tortured Poets Department has been on repeat since its release nearly a fortnight ago. While I could write an entire thesis on the theories, lyricism and sonic beauty of the record, I’m actually most grateful for the music reminding me to watch one of the great movies of my lifetime: Dead Poets Society.
It’s a classic coming-of-age tale, woven with heart and led by the incomparable Robin Williams. While there are too many scenes to reference here, there is a theme throughout: you have the power to make your life extraordinary—so seize the day.
