Nine finalist awards, with one more joining the list!

Once upon a time, not too long ago, I was approached by the author of the non-fiction book "Under the Clock," to adapt this true story into a TV-series. His book tells the inspiring tale of a group of young Dutch students, who embarked on a heroic mission to rescue hundreds of Jewish children by hiding them with foster parents in the countryside.

Fast forward to today, and there's exciting news! A pitch deck for a Limited Series and Pilot Episode has been created based on this incredible story. I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride as the pilot episode has already received nine finalist awards in various writing competitions, with one more joining the list: it's now a Quarter Finalist in the prestigious Creative Screenwriting Pilot Screenplay Competition!

But this achievement is not just mine alone. I owe a heartfelt thank you to Cameron Cubisson from Zero Gravity Management , who helped me get the first draft out and believed in my story right from the start. Also, I'm immensely grateful to bert jan flim and gert jan de vries for entrusting me to weave this true tale into a captivating fiction. Last but certainly not least, a shoutout to the amazing harry mock from Amphora Books, who continues to motivate and support me in bringing this important story to life on screen.

This heart-pounding, true story follows Anne?and her network as they risk life and limb to ultimately rescue hundreds of Jewish children during the brutal regime of the Nazis in 1940s Holland. Lives are lost and changed forever as the constant threat of exposure and the death camps loom. To minimize the chances of being caught, it’s mainly the girls who put their lives on the line by taking the children to their hiding places by train. These brave women provide a unique point of view in this taut World War II thriller.??
