Nine Fantastic Years

As I embark on the next challenge of my career I have taken a little time to reflect on my last 9 years at LV= Broker which has been without doubt the highlight of my 30 year career so far.

Challenging, exciting and rewarding - a journey from no business and four staff as Birmingham Branch Manager to Head of Trading (North) leading one of the most respected and professional commercial branch networks in the North of England & Scotland.

I am lucky to have worked with such an incredible group of people, who managed to deliver results which were the envy of the market year upon year.

From the start the business we built was a fun place to work. Between us we created a work hard play hard culture underpinned by a work ethic which was second to none. We played to win and win we certainly did.

The joint venture between LV= and Allianz sees Allianz take ownership of the LV= Broker commercial book. As I write this I know a number of my former LV= colleagues have a degree of uncertainty about what 2018 holds in store for them. I wish them every success in whatever paths their careers take and hope they look back at their time at LV= as fondly as I do.

A big thank you to LV= Broker for the opportunity you gave me back in 2008 it really has been an unbelievable experience.
