Nikki Medical Updates (scan results):
After spending nearly two hours in the CT and MRI exam rooms this week, we are happy to report that Nikki's scan came back stable. As the blood work told us last week, there is no new cancer growth and no spread of current cancer.
None of the cancer has decreased this time though. We STILL need to find her a cure, we hope and pray for her to be cancer free someday.
Thanks again for your support, prayers and your messages, they are very much appreciated. We will do this again in six months. Here is a picture of Nikki again at the Bite Me Cancer Foundation Cancerversary event. Here she is with a great friend of ours and one of the toughest cancer fighters we know, BethAnn Telford!

8 年Yay! So happy for Nikki and your family, Michael. Louis and I traveled this hard road for a year with his daughter who had been teaching in S. Korea and had just renewed her contract for a second year when a lump was found in her throat. She came back to the states for treatment of a cancer they could not diagnose--an aggressive Hodgkins lymphoma already throughout her upper body, fortunately caught at end of stage II. She is clean and is back teaching in S. Korea and living her dream. We are grateful to the wonderful docs at Sentara, and to our family and friends for their fervent prayers, and many donations, as she had full coverage in SK but not covered under ACA in the US. Every day we each have is a gift and a blessing.
