Night Train!
Let's take a minute to say "thank you" to the women and men who work so hard, night and day, to make sure our freight arrives at destination safely and on time!
Tonight I had the chance to hang out with a BNSF Railway Train Crew delivering a unit train to Red River in Williston North Dakota that originated in Wisconsin just a little over 24 hours earlier and was once again reminded about what an awesome Rail Network we enjoy and largely take for granted here in the USA and how many people it takes to pull this off. These guys make it look easy, but behind the scenes there is a very large and well oiled machine that brings everything together on the Great Northern Corridor!
From the Local BNSF Team in here in Williston, ND that serves our rail terminals daily, to the District and Regional Groups that manage and maintain the infrastructure equipment and crews, to the folks at the Network Operations Center that keep a watchful eye on the big picture, to all of the people at HQ who focus on their areas of responsibility - We Appreciate You!
Whether it is Grain from the U.S. Heartland going to feed the world, or containers from our Pacific Northwest Ports headed to distribution centers, or Automobiles from Asia, or Coal to make electricity , or Oil to fuel our automobiles, or Construction Materials to Build America or any number of other commodities, our Railroads safely and efficiently deliver the goods!
Locomotive Engineer/Trainman
9 年Curtis, it's refreshing to read this. It is definitely a team effort between us (train crew) and places like Red River, I'm glad to have been part of the Red River crew for a short time, understanding both sides of the spectrum I feel helps make me a better trainman. Thanks for your hard work also!
