Despite pressures, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's non-interference in this judicial process has been praised for safeguarding democracy and renewing faith in the judiciary. This action by President Tinubu is seen as a departure from past practices and is regarded as a positive development for Nigerian democracy.
This development shows judicial independence and a commitment to democracy. The legislative branch must now be poised and expected to set good legislative precedents and ensure accountability in government spending public funds.
Moving forward, the emphasis must now be on the need for the executive branch, legislative, and judiciary to work together to demonstrate tangible results in areas like safety, commerce, good governance, and job creation within a specific timeframe.
