In the UEFA Europa League, Mikel Obi and Victor Moses were the last Nigeria internationals to have won the tournament. Joe Aribo, Calvin Bassey and Leon Balogun could’ve been added to the list but fell short having played in Glasgow Rangers’ loss to the Eintracht Frankfurt in the final of the Europa League in 2022.
?Still in the Champions League, Raphael Onyedika and Club Brugge were drawn to face Portuguese Primera Liga giants SL Benfica. The first leg will be played at Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruge on February 15 while the reverse fixture is billed to hold at Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica on the 7th of March
In Europe’s second tier club competition, Ajax Amsterdam and Calvin Bassey will host Union Berlin at the Johan Cruijff Arena in the first leg on February 16 before traveling to the Stadion An der Alten F?rsterei on February 23.
