Nigerian OOH Awards Calls for Entries as LOMA Celebrates Second-Year

Starting a new thing is hard.

It's why most people avoid deviating from whatever homeostasis looks like to them. But if you can get comfortable being uncomfortable, there is a world of opportunity that awaits.

April 13, 2003, I connected with Kingsley Onwukaeme (rpa) for the first time. He informed me that he was working on improving the OOH practice in Nigeria through workshops and webinars via OOH Academy Nigeria , a project he'd started in 2021.

A month later, I got a message that the first LOMA awards were in the works with a 3D rendering of the trophy.

For anyone who has ever organized a trade show, conference, or awards event like this knows how much work goes into the logistics of making it happen. Now add the layer of navigating government approval of your award standards and voting process, because that's one of the hoops Kingsley and his team had to jump through - government approval of how the voting would be calculated.

That would stop most people from ever getting started.

But not Kingsley.

They pushed forward.

And here we are, a year later.

A successful inaugural awards show and expo under their belt and back for year two.
