Amusan is a world champion but Nigeria is anything but world-class

Nigeria is world-class in the arts, in governance anything but!

On September 16, 2022, Macy's New York welcomed customers with Davido's music; on September 25, 2022, the world was awash with music from Nigerians based in Nigeria. Music by Burna Boy, Wizkid, Ayr Starr, and Asake filled the airwaves from Lagos to London, New York, Paris, Helsinki, and South Africa.

Nigeria then celebrated 62 years of independence on October 1, but the music was less joyful and triumphant. The country's existence and development have been akin more of troughs than peaks.

While nation growth differs from human calendar years, there are still indices and forecasts that can be used to attribute development or diseased states.

Governance, politics, and economics have not thrived, whereas the arts (music, literature, and, to a lesser extent, sports) have. Tobiloba Amusan, a Nigerian athlete, set a world record in July, but the way the country is ruled and governed is anything but world-class.

Why??

If I could profer an answer, I will be richer than Jeff Bezos. If you have an answer, please share, thank you, and Happy Anniversary to Nigeria.
