The long awaited Beko brand was successfully launched on the 18th of June at the D' Podium International Event Centre, Lagos, Nigeria, in which over 100 top prospective dealers and media were in attendance.
The event was also attended by Polat Sen; Ar?elik Global CFO, top management from Defy Appliances, local business partners and myself.
Mr. ?en spoke in great detail about the rich history of Ko?, Ar?elik and Beko; the companies global growth strategy and how Africa holds a unique position in Ar?elik’s strategic plans. ?en, also mentioned to everyone in attendance that Beko Nigeria will be an important key in creating the brand’s success story in years to come and that creating new opportunities and making investments is a necessity.
The need for having the right partner strategy which is critical for the longevity of any brand and explaining the partnership Beko has with MDS Logistics in Nigeria. Beko will cover all Nigeria through using MDS Logistics as a supply chain partner and Beko will reach directly to retail partners using 51 distribution centres in 31 states of Nigeria. To support our local relevance strategy, Evren also noted the importance of offering a quality after sales service network. This will be achieved through 50 technicians, a dedicated Beko call centre and a promise to resolve service calls within 48 hours.
Beko will support its dealers in making retail investments in their stores to display unique Beko product innovations with a high level of consumer experience. In order to support this a 360 degree marketing plan is presented to business partners and key agents to develop Beko brand with a fresh European look is highlighted.
