1. What is something that people don’t know about you???

Looks can be deceiving. People with a resting grouchy face are always misjudged. We can be warm inside! Hence, people are always surprised by my dry humour.?

2. How would you summarise what you do at NIEC???

Here at the Strategic Planning & Organisational Excellence (SPOE) division, we communicate more with internal stakeholders. SPOE plays a pivotal role in catalysing initiatives that unite staff, driving us towards our organisational goals and our vision of becoming the leading institute for early childhood educators — inspiring excellence in practice.?

3. Can you tell us a few details about the favourite part of your job???

I'm fortunate to have diverse platforms to unleash my creativity – be it through the different events that I’ve helped to oversee or NIEC’s internal newsletter that I am the editor of. I’ve even managed to incorporate some storytelling aspects that I learnt from my ongoing master’s programme into our townhall events, making them more engaging for our staff.?

4. What do you like most about the culture at NIEC???

The culture at NIEC fosters a genuine sense of openness, where there are no barriers between team members, including those at the top. I feel safe and comfortable sharing my thoughts, knowing they are valued and respected. At the core, we all share the common goal of nurturing the best for our institution, and that unity makes NIEC an extraordinary place to thrive in!?

5. Which company values resonate with you the most and why???

Respect and Collaboration. Respect in the sense that it is a two-way street. For me, respect goes beyond just words; it's about valuing diverse viewpoints, even when we disagree. Collaboration opens doors to innovative thinking and shared responsibilities, making work more efficient and enjoyable.?
