Nicola Fox: NASA’s first woman Science Chief??????
NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration ’s veteran solar scientist, and the head of its #heliophysics division Nicola Fox has been appointed its science chief, the first woman to serve in this pivotal role. The science directorate oversees the agency's marquee programs including robotic hunts for past life on Mars and exploring distant galaxies with the James Webb Space Telescope. Fox will also oversee a NASA study group to help the U.S. military detect and characterize UFOs that have been perceived as threats to the White House and Pentagon.
Fox began her NASA career in 2018 as the chief of Heliophysics Division, studying the Sun and the effect of constant solar wind on Earth and other planets. Her earlier stint was with the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
