Be Nice To Someone Day/Probably Not You

Every day has some title attached to it. "Be Nice To Someone Day" is today's. Do we go back to being rude tomorrow? Isn't that like Christmas? At least for children. They behave to attain presents and revert to their old ways on Boxing Day.

Every so often, Left Handed Person's Day is mentioned. Just one day? It's every day for me. Have I connected with someone because they are left handed? It isn't the only criteria. It's no minority.

Is that a right handed conspiracy? While it isn't half and half? At least one-third of the people I know are left handed. Bruce Willis is left handed. How do I know this? He wrote something on an episode of Moonlighting.

Why are most Muppets left handed? Because Jim Henson is. Or was- it sucks that he passed. While I have had time to grieve? It still sucks. None of which has to do with Be Kind To Your Web Footed Friend Day.

A duck might be somebody's mother. There is no reason not to be nice. It is as redundant as The Year of the Woman. Women live every year and can make an impact. Don't be nice because someone created a day. You can eat Chocolate Chip Cookies any day; not just on Chocolate Chip Cookie Day.

There is no Cut Someone Off in Traffic Day. That happens more than it should. It is probably "Don't Use Your Turn Signal" Day. That could be repurposed to National Mindreaders Day.

Too bad it isn't "Finish Your First Draft" day. I have not procrastinated on the book. There are ideas and every time I write? More ideas can be added. The secret to writing is writing. Live in the moment. It's nice to be important. It's important to be nice. Anyone can do it.

We are asked to show we are 'human' on websites ??. If the competition with robots continues, #wearehuman?will be an essential hashtag, and need to be disabled on AI applications.

Love this Thomas Jackson! I have "[fill in the name] Day" fatigue. Do those days really make any difference? You're supposed to wear a certain color on certain awareness days. Does anyone out there even realize why people are wearing a certain color??? I think not. I can't even keep it straight. And what about all the "copy cat" - [oops sorry - that was politically incorrect to cats] - ribbons and bracelets? I only remember what the pink ribbon pins signify. BTW did you know there is a National Employee Appreciation Day? I bet you don't - but there really is. Most people know there is a National Boss's Day and give them a gift. Did you ever receive a gift on National Employee Appreciation Day? Now that says alot doesn't it?

Thomas, this made me laugh. I actually wrote a funny story last year with a holiday I made up called, "Happy National Sneeze Guard Day." I did some research and it was pretty funny! It is nice to be nice!
