Is anyone wondering why I have a post of a cover of an old western movie? The movie is called, "No Name on the Bullet." It was made in 1959 and it is about known gunslinger name John Gant that goes to a town where many of the inhabitants are uneasy of his arrival. He basically gets paid to assassinate and he uniquely does it by self-defense. In other words, he somehow pushes his victims into trying to kill him so his assassinations are not considered murder. What amazed me about the movie is some of the men in town individually thought John was coming for them. Many of them did things they were guilty of against someone but got away with it. The guilt overwhelmed these men as it could be any of them John was gunning for. They knew they committed acts that hurt others and could be grounds for revenge. This is why I would rather do things with a clear conscience. I have been told by many that I am a nice guy. I could tell when it is meant as a compliment or an insult. Usually, in sales positions I've been in, I never believed being called a nice guy was a good thing. Some would say, "Jason you too nice, " and "nice guys finish last". I use to wonder, what is wrong with me? I'm not trying to go over the top. I'm just being myself. Is being the real me that bad? This would bother me for a long time but then, I realized something. People put up pretenses just to get ahead even to the point of hurting others. The way I look at it nice guys or gals may finish last, but can still finish great with a clear conscience.
