NHE - Farmer's Day 2023

Following on from the farmers day held at Fairking Limited in Essex, who clean and supply Borage seed for New Holland Extraction, we welcomed 26 local farmers to the NHE site with a view to encouraging the growing of Borage crops within the region.??The day consisted of presentations on the benefits of growing Borage by Andrew Fairs along with detailed information from their agronomist on crop production, soil control and soil management as well as swathing techniques when harvesting the crop.

Mark Smith, General Manager introduced New Holland Extraction and De Wit Speciality Oils on presenting the importance of Borage Oil and the benefits of working with us and Fairking Limited to provide the best possible Borage crops for processing at the NHE production facility.?This included a full Site tour of our Good Inwards, Processing facilities, laboratory expertise and onto the finished oil product where it is then shipped to De Wit where the oil gets packaged and distributed to our worldwide clientele. The day concluded with lunch and a chance for networking and discussions from regular growers and potential new growers to ensure future supply for the growing demand of Borage Oil.
