NGV Spring Lunch 2023

NGV Spring Lunch 2023

We were lucky enough to work with with National Gallery of Victoria for their Spring Lunch in the Great Hall. The theme — My Art Is Food... inspiring the menu, florals and panel discussions.?

With guest appearances from?three of the country's most esteemed female chefs:?Annie Smithers of du Fermier, Brigitte Hafner of Tedesca Osteria and Kate Reid of Lune Croissanterie, hosted by renowned Australian food writer Gemima Cody.

Our brief was to seamlessly marry food and blooms to create a work of art for each table centre. Our head florist Bella, quickly got to work to create six stunning table centre designs...

Here they are —

ONE: A bowl of floating pears, topped with blossom and Ranunculus.?

TWO: A spring melon moment. A bowl full of Lisianthus, Artichoke and streaming Jasmine.?

THREE: A pedestal vase full of Citrus, topped with Spring Daffodils.

FOUR: Flowering Andromeda, paired with a Renaissance-inspired Grape drape, finished with a cute little pear duo.?

FIVE:?A pedestal vase full Kale flower & leaf, paired with Broccoli and Papaya, topped with Stock flower.?

SIX:?Last but not least! A vase full of carrots, topped with Tulips and fresh citrus.?

The room was stunning. Finished with a huge accompanying stage, story of vases, bursting?with seasonal blooms and citrus branches.?

The brief was — My Art is Food... and we think we nailed it!?
