NGO Board Committees

As an NGO Founder/Executive Director, the first board members are vital to the success of your organization. As a result you should ensure that they are passionate about the organization and bring specific skills and expertise into your organization. In most cases these are your first set of volunteers.

During your first board meeting, develop a strategic plan to monitor the progress and direction of the organization.  In this meeting, conduct an election of the Executive Committee.  This consists of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Public Relations Officer.
