She is widely known for her docu-animation 'yellow-fever'. The animation-documentary explores western influences on the ideals of beauty on the African woman. Her work focuses on relationships & the use of film to emulate unspoken truths. At the prestigious Design Indaba, she presented her talk ‘Film Taxidermy and Re- Animation,’ proposing the use of animation as a means of re-humanizing the indigenous image.

Her films have won numerous awards, including Best Short Film at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards both for Yellow Fever; and the Encounters Immersive Grand Prix for her first 360 film, Nairobi Berries and the Silver Hugo for Best Animated Short film at the Chicago International Film Festival.
