NFTs: The Funny World of Digital Ownership ??
NFTs are popping up left and right these days. But these digital assets—from art and music to tacos and toilet paper—are trading more like the Coca Cola than equity stakes of Tesla or Ford. Sort of, they can definitely be money—but how about the hype? Let’s discuss it now ?
What is NFT?
NFT stands for “Non-Fungible Token” and features an asset like a digital art piece, digital content or video that has been tokenized through the use of blockchain technology – with all underlying metadata. These can be images, you name it and the assets are unique to that blockchain but remain in a location anywhere on Earth ????
So what’s the point?
Tokenizing real-world physical goodies helps them obtain and offer a lot more easily, indicates NFTs gather authentication proof (as such providing property) so decreases the maybe these types of operations arrive on fraud. And it is obviously high secure, as blockchains record and store transfers of ownership in a decentralized account book so that the history of owners ships are visible to everyone! ??

NFT is not a cryptocurrency!
Cryptocurrencies are tokens as well; however, the key difference is that two cryptocurrencies from the same blockchain are interchangeable—they are fungible. Two NFTs from the same blockchain can look identical, but they are unique.
For example, the most popular cryptocurrency is probably Bitcoin, for instance. It operates as traditional money, but in a decetralized environment. Each BTC is as interchangeable with another as trading one dollar for another, so no problem there ??
On the other hand, Dad Jokes NFTs. Imagine a collection of digital, cringe-worthy your dad’s puns and one-liners that only dad could love. Each Dad Joke NFT is unique, capturing the essence of classic groan-worthy humor. No two jokes are exactly alike—each one has its own wording, style, and perhaps even an accompanying animation or graphic that makes it distinct. Swap one Dad Joke NFT for another and receive a whole new joke with its own worth and charm ??
Wait.. this NFT already exists ??
?NFTs have no use other than funny pics? ??
Are boring tasks like re-registering your car fun? Otherwise, consider it good news: NFTs might one day be linked to individual cars so as to secure car ownership rights ????
Goodbye, paper titles? Maybe, but not just yet. Nevertheless, companies that give titles for luxury cars using the traditional paper method have already started offering NFTs to own a vehicle.
So not only pictures, art, photographies and jokes can be tokenized, but everything.. for real.. even our individuals’ identities. Literally whatever your imagination desires ?
Memeberships, VIP passes, any stuff in virtual worlds, web3 games or Metaverse from avatar wearables to digital property, domain names for your website, music, even 404 Error Pages, coffee stains and your marriage can be tokenized ?
Where can I buy them?
If you want to buy some digital assets to diversify your investment portfolio or just to show off to your friends you can use different most known and trusted marketplaces such as OpenSea, Rarible, Foundation.
In conclusion, NFTs no kidding are very promising and combined with the new web3, this tree can bear much fruit. Whether it's a cringe-worthy Dad Joke, your car, or a mansion in Florida, the possibilities for tokenization are as endless as they are amusing. So next time someone asks why NFTs matter, just tell them they’re the best way to prove you really do own that joke your dad keeps telling. And if somebody's still not convinced, well, there's always Bitcoin ??
