NextGen Tundish Spray Robot

Vesuvius recently launched the next generation Tundish Spray Robot; the first machinery is being installed at customer plants worldwide. Vesuvius contributes to the Digital Transformation in Steel Industry, aiming mainly to increase production efficiency and sustainability (digital control and reduction of waste material).

The innovative design takes our Tundish Spray Robot to the next generation

Vesuvius already has a leading reputation for developing the Tundish Spray Robot (TSR), known for its safe, repeatable, and reliable performance. This is because of Vesuvius engineering technology and Tundish refractories expertise. So, when we launched the Next Generation TSR in COE Mechatronics Ghlin, we knew our customers would be keen to take their businesses to the next level with it.

The next generation TSR has the best features from previous models but with some new innovations, these include:

• KUKA/Siemens platform
• New Robot Code
• Cage/spray mixer station design
• Operator-friendly VSV interface (this gives full control in robot spraying routines and parameter selection).
