NextGen Product Solutions and Collaboration with our Customers and Local Community
Cubis Systems
Global Leaders in Underground Network Access and Cable Protection Products
Hello, and welcome to June’s newsletter roundup!
This month we continued our rail exhibition tour with the fantastic Rail Live event, that once again, didn’t disappoint. With record numbers of attendees and the weather holding off across the two days, great conversations were had with both new and existing customers about our range of Network Rail approved products.
June also saw us attend Tarmac's NextGen 2030 event, showcasing our NextGen innovative solutions across our range of sectors and applications.
As we continue to develop and innovate new products and solutions, its always important to ensure our customers feel confident in what they are installing and here at Cubis we leave no stone unturned when it comes to product excellence. Our innovative solutions undergo rigorous internal and external testing before they reach our customers hands.
We also took some time to meet with a very different kind of customer and support our local community (find our more below!).
THE POWER OF ONECRH SHOWCASED AT THE TARMAC NEXTGEN 2030 EVENT
CRH UK & Ireland had the opportunity to showcase its construction solutions of the future to customers, suppliers and partners at the Tarmac Next Gen 2030 event.
Held at the beautiful Tarmac owned Panshanger Park in Hertfordshire. The event location provided an award-winning restoration to agriculture, wetland and nature conservation following its phased out mineral extraction.
The event showcased some of the fantastic initiatives from across our CRH businesses including 3D printing of our concrete foundation, the UK first e-mixer and range of construction accessories.
In-depth presentations on manufacturing, supply chain, people and social value, technology & innovation and materials science, provided insight for customers into the range of business and services we have across the group.

STAKKAbox? ULTIMA CONNECT - THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR SCALING UP NETWORK ACCESS CHAMBERS
Cubis’ STAKKAbox? ULTIMA Connect and AX-S? composite cover system has been installed at the Eau du Ponant project in France. The large scale (4m X 4m) chamber was built to house a sizable hydraulic water system for the site.
Cubis’ French team collaborated with the contractor to implement a DN500 composite interconnection chamber, designed to secure the AEP network. The installation was carried out directly by the Eau du Ponant community near Brest, in the west of France.
The network access chamber and cover provided a range of benefits to the contractor including:
SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES
When our Roscommon manufacturing site was setup 30 years ago, its initial production line was going to look a little different! With a range of dog kennels in the pipeline, a far cry from the chamber and cable protection systems we manufacture there today.?
While no kennels were actually ever manufactured on site, samples sent from the US had unknowingly been stored onsite. Recently, the team came across the kennels and decided to donate them to the ISPCA (Irish Society Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) which has its main centre approx. 30minutes from our Roscommon site.
The ISPCA were delighted to welcome the donation and we even got to see one of their current residents settle into his new home.
