The “Next Places” in Northern Portugal

Porto is booming!

Last week, I drove two and a half hours north from my base on the Silver Coast to put boots on the ground in Portugal’s vibrant second city.

Once dilapidated and ignored, Porto has emerged as an incredible tourist hot spot and one of the most livable cities in Europe.

The city has been a firm fixture on my beat for many years. I’ve brought Real Estate Trend Alert members some killer opportunities here. But now the city is basically maxed out. Even during my end of September/start of October visit, previously offseason, there were tourists everywhere…

Yet I’ve uncovered land on the southern bank of the Douro river just across from the city that has huge potential. It’s only about six or seven minutes away from Porto’s buzzing port area, and has easy access to the beach. I recorded a walking tour while in Porto to share the details with you.
