The Next New Thing

Panic, Urgency and Fight for relevance can make you lose focus as a Brand, CEO, Coach or Creative.

It's okay to desire fame but that's not a long term plan if you are trying to help people with your brand who will be satisfied and become unpaid evangelists of your brand.

Nothing good ever came from panic or fear, It just leads us to take actions that look good but we have no fact or evidence about its effectiveness. Remember last year when a lot of brands started hopping on Tiktok challenges. Fortunately for some it worked for them because it fit their brand but some didn't and that's because their brand tone and identity didn't fit into that space.

Imagine a law firm doing a Tiktok dance and expecting top personnels to reach out to them? So funny right ?

They look like a joke.

A lot of brands/creators are chasing the shiny things like Seth Godin ?? said in his book ''This is marketing''. Instead of focusing on the process they have created and making sure it works, they ditch it and go to ''The Next New Thing'' not knowing that it's a never ending trip. There will always be something new and new things will become old. So what is your signature move, approach or process?

Have you done everything possible to make a process work for you to the point that there is no other way to use it? If you haven't gotten to that stage then you have no reason switching to another.

If you are a brand, top executive or creative having difficulty sticking with a process due to impatience, Take a day to review the process and if it still has potential keep going even if the result feels slow, it will definitely work out.

A coach doesn't share a course that they have no experience with, It comes from a series of consistency and effort to get result and then they package it as a course for others to use. The value you sell comes from your repeated efforts and determination to make things work for you.

Those fails, pauses and wins in-between creates the value you offer for others to buy so stop chasing the shiny things.
