Next Level eLearning for Growing Tech?Co

Meta Studios is a growing company with tech giants, Google and Blackberry, in its backyard (no pressure, right?). This growing studio, with seasoned experts, serves up businesses with mobile development, design, as well as eLearning training software tailored for a modern work environment.

Studio Directors, Ryan Swartz and Chris Cressman, combine their love of development and design in order to transform a client’s vision into a creative reality.

Chris shares that he’s grateful requests for eLearning applications increased considerably during the pandemic period. Considering that eLearning training creation can be time consuming, there is also the thought of the additional, and lengthy, process of enlisting voice talent (and even more so when considering adding multiple languages).

The Studio Directors often face such challenges head on and a less conventional answer appears to save the day.

Enter Google Voice AI.

Google’s Lifelike Speech Synthesis utilizes text to speech technology to create lifelike audio with a choice of more than 220 voices and 40 languages. Yet, if there is a very specific need simply provide a high quality audio clip in order to train a custom voice model. The best part? You only need a few sample seconds to make this magical learning happen. Feel free try check out the interactive demo in action.

Some of the secret lies behind WaveNet, commonly used by Voice Assistant products, which learns from Human speech patterns. These Deepmind models also incorporate natural sounding elements, such as lip-smacking and non-words, as well as being able to identify emotion, accents, and subtle intonations.

AI technology has truly excelled throughout recent history. IBM first introduced speech recognition in the early 1960s, Microsoft’s (annoying) paperclip entered the assistant space in the mid 1990s, Google and Siri came out in 2011, and then Amazon joined this AI party in 2014. It’s quite remarkable how realistic AI models can emulate Human audio today.

For growing tech studios, such as Meta Studios, the future is bright. Will humans soon learn from AI? Only time will tell. For now, AI will now play a big role in taking Ryan and Chris's amazing creations to the next level.
