Next journey: the Reflective Engineer

I proudly announce the next step in my professional career at the Delft University of Technology. After two years of preparing the grounds, I'm officially starting as Program Director of the Reflective Engineer program. A new program of the Delft University of Technology, focusing on educating the intelligent, responsible and cooperative engineer of the future. We aim to incorporate reflection on process, on product, on personal development and self-reflection in engineering education. Reflection will become integrated in the heads, hearts and hands of our students, that is our ambition. The Reflective Engineer program is co-funded by the Dutch Program of Education (NPO).

The visual describes the journey that has led to this point and the journey that I'm about to explore in the coming years. An interfaculty program, innovating education in co-creation with students, embedding reflection in the engineering educational programs. Educational academic research is part of this program.

This is not a program to do alone, so the next step is building my team, starting with an educational specialist and a project manager. Feel free to reach out if you're interested in this journey.
