The Next Generation of Sustainability/ Innovation work: Net-Positive with Sustainable Digitalisation

In the 2016 Sustainability Report that Cybercom released today a "sneak peek" can be found of what I think is the first "net-positive digital sustainability process" ever.

Attempts to merge ICT/digitalisation and sustainability has been done before, but almost all of that work has focused on incremental improvement within companies.

This process by Cybercom focuses on how companies can use sustainability (and the SDGs in particular) as a driver for innovation and profit with the help of ICT/digitalisation. The result is a sustainable digitalisation process with net-positive results. So new technology, new business models, new use of data brought together in order to help companies provide what is needed to deliver in the global sustainability goals through what they sell (rather than only focus on how companies can reduce the negative impacts from their operations).

It is time for a new generation of sustainability leaders that want to grow their companies fast by providing what society needs.
