Next-Generation Leadership for Next-Generation Technology
Japanese firm Rika Denshi plays a major part in the semiconductor testing industry and its president has exciting plans to help shape the future of the technology sector.
If a manufacturing business is involved in semiconductor technology, it holds a hugely important position in the electronics world.?
For Yasuko “Jody” Toda, the president of Rika Denshi Group, that is not a responsibility to be taken lightly.??
Honored as one of Japan’s businesswomen of the year when she was appointed to the role at the age of 27, Toda is part of a new generation of young and dynamic corporate leaders shaping the industry.?
She has vowed to prioritize product quality as the business moves into the future.?
“It’s not about cheap mass production. It’s more about the high-end technology, which even now gets a lot of buffering from a cost standpoint,” said Toda.?
“People would pay more to achieve their goals in technology at this point. We can do a lot to contribute to these new technologies,.” she said.?
The company specializes in semiconductor testing and probing systems and is working to develop its miniaturized chipmicro-sized and high- frequency testing technology.?
The firm’s president insists her staff is the driving heart of the business and she is keen to expand the firm’s business and product range. The firm recently marked its 62nd birthday, but innovation is the key going forward.?
“I really want to give recognition to our employees that have been working very hard. I believe I am a people-focused leader,” said Toda.?
“Without making our people happy, there would be no growth as a company. Everyone around us is my first priority,.” she said.?
