Next generation awards..for passion and meaningfulness

Last week was a delightful one and brought hopes. As usual I was preparing for my next evening call when I got a phone-call from Mr. Deepak Toshniwal - president of Rotary Club of Pune Fortune,India congratulating me for receiving the "VERA" award. "VERA" is meant to be "Vocational Excellence Rotary Award".. In India , Rotary has its presence in almost all districts in India and Rotarians are proud to call them one amongst 1.2 Million members across more than 35000 clubs all over the world. With the similar social welfare footprint, Rotary Club of Pune Fortune lives with the motto of "Bringing Smile to Humanity"

We are grateful to Rotary for recognizing all other awardees who did excellent jobs in their fields...Amongst them were women like Sanyogita Patil - Bharatnatyam Dance expert and guinesse book world record holder , Dr. Sushama Keskar , who has dedicated 34 years of her life to SNDT as a principal , sister Vaishali Ruikar - who has dedicated her life to the field of nursing and was awarded as "Florence Nightangel Best Nurse" in 2014 , by the hands of President ,India.

Dr. Sanjay Chordia - a well known educationist in India and chairman of Small and Medium Business Chamber in India, Dr. Bhakti Sapke - a renown cosmetologist and promising face of Pune in Beauty Therapy. These were to name a few amongst the list of 10 VERA achievers.

I was grateful and in awe with a question "Why Me?" in the whole world...I got a very interesting answer when my curiosity reached to their ears.

The passion to do anything that life throws .. the actitude while bringing meaningfulness to the surroundings

I am not the ONLY person who could receive such a honor but I feel this goes to each individual who works passionately and relentlessly. This is for each and every one of you who spends sleepless nights building the software , who forgets weekends while migrating the software ,who codes for days and nights during Hackathons,who strives to unlearn and learn. Each one who endlessly pursues topics until they reach destination and who fights with management to take the team on the growth path . At time, takes the backseat and watches others basking in glory and claps..

Heartily I want to share this award with each passionate one amongst you who integrates work and life , who makes best to get the notebooks signed by motivators , despite having a busy life gives back to the education system by travelling on weekends and pays back the debt as an alumni....the one spends hours and hours waiting to see flemingoes arriving on the lake and captures their wings of prosperity, who parties with friends while winding all the worries, the one who struggles and juggles between time to kid Vs time to lead and dares to take challenges to plunge into the ocean of uncertainties. I see many faces.

We are glad, the world is walking towards understanding humility & humanity #humanity #humility and the new generation awards are centered around goodness and well-being. Thanks Rotary for using these rewarding instruments. #meaningfulness #goodwill #passion #collaboration
