NEXT GEN SCHUH BRAND CONFERENCE

Last month, 400 of our schuh store and head office employees came together in Manchester for the NEXT-GEN SCHUH brand conference.?

The brand conference is our opportunity to celebrate the wins, highlight future footwear opportunities, hear from schuh leaders and innovative external speakers, and explore all the hottest brands and products for the season ahead.?

We squeezed a lot into one day, and we’re here to spill the tea on what went down.

The Next-Gen schuh brand conference, hosted by comedian and writer Soph Galustian, included presentations from key business areas, including Buying, Retail, Digital and Marketing. They shared performance highlights, future projects and exciting insights from youth marketing agency NERDS Collective .

Our partners, Dayforce , Retail Trust and Perkbox , were present all day, sharing benefits and info, with freebies and prizes too.

The all-new, all-schuh leadership team participated in a panel discussion and live Q&A hosted by Richard Shetliffe CEO of the British Footwear Association.?

Attendees got an exclusive look at new styles coming to schuh from the Kids, Athletic, Lifestyle, Accessories, and schuh own-label departments.?

Our brand sponsors, Crocs, Inc. and HEYDUDE took to the stage to immerse attendees in the brand's vision, goals and opportunities. They also threw the BEST party - stay tuned to hear more about that.?

At the schuh brand conference, a key objective was to remind attendees of schuh’s commitment to supporting our employees well-being.?

Guests were encouraged to prioritise their Mental Wellness, and “Breathe, Move & Connect” through a series of interactive experiences such as chair yoga, a selfie love wall, wellness walks, and breathwork sessions. We also heard from The Retail Trust, who were present at the event all day. A dedicated Mental Wellness room, filled with soothing smells, visuals and sounds, encouraged guests to unwind.?

Thanks to our wellness partners Hannah Fraser and Jade Mordente , and our Mental Wellness Employee Group for leading the Wellness Walks.?

In the evening, our brand sponsors Crocs and Hey Dude took over Freight Island and invited us to Next Gen schuh: The Afterglow. The event kicked off with the annual schuh awards, where we celebrated employees that have shown outstanding levels of commitment and modelled our brand values. Well done to all the winners!

Guests explored the Crocs and Hey Dude brand through a playful, immersive party experience that included customisation stations, a house gospel choir, massages, chill-out zones, DJs, and of course, endless jibbitz.?

When can we do it all again???

Thank you for sharing the highlights of the NEXT GEN SCHUH brand conference. It’s inspiring to see such innovative approaches in product previews and wellness initiatives. Events like these set a great example for the industry. Kudos to the SCHUH team for an exceptional experience!
