The next step in the evolution of AI
In the evolution of humankind, tools played a crucial role. The ability to make and use tools???? sets our species apart and emerged coincidentally with an increased brain and body size, a more terrestrial lifestyle and dramatic changes in social behaviour.?It was the beginning of modern man.?
With that in mind, Sam Altman's latest announcement makes me stunned.?The CEO of OpenAI introduced?ChatGPT pugins. Plugins connect ChatGPT to any third-party application or service with an API.
However, what sounds familiar in the IT world, namely the word "plugin", makes me hold my breath in the context of ChatGPT.?
With external connections, ChatGPT becomes not only real time. It will furthermore expanding its abilities many times over. ?? This capability enables ChatGPT to interact (receive and / or give information and / or instructions) directly with other applications, services or technologies. After the first giant step, the recognition intention, OpenAI / Microsoft is taking the second step towards real-time execution. Somehow fascinating and frightening at the same time.?
