The Next Expert Is You

Like the next person reading this, we’re all familiar with that uncomfortable feeling.

That uncomfortable feeling where you decide to try something new that you maybe have no experience with.

In the midst of trying this new thing, a little voice interrupts with examples of other people who were able to do whatever it is that you’re trying to do.

Now, what that little voice doesn’t share with you is the effort it took for that person to fight through the difficulties to achieve success.

Instead, this voice makes the other person appear to be an overnight success story.

While it may be easy to get discouraged when learning something new, you need to remind yourself that they too were once a beginner at said task.

At one point in time, this “expert” was just like you.

They probably thought the same things you’re thinking – they didn’t quit!

They kept walking.

They kept taking steps; One step after the other, to get to where they are today – and you can too!
