The Next Chapter

From the early days as a software center of excellence, to delivering powerful business outcomes to 1,000+ customers using the Predix portfolio – I’ve seen many changes during my tenure at GE. None have left me as excited for the company’s future as announcing plans to create a new, $1.2B independent company focused on building a comprehensive Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) software portfolio.

I’m incredibly proud of the team and the tremendous amount of work that was put in to bring GE to this next phase of its digital industrial journey. I truly believe that this is the right next step for GE, its shareholders, its customers and partners, as well as its employees. This is a company filled with talented people, market-leading products, and the determination needed to succeed.

As announced, I decided it was time to take the next step in my own career. It was a very difficult decision and I certainly feel a bit bittersweet since I love both GE and GE Digital. So why leave now? After eight years and the great privilege of leading this business, I was given an opportunity to take on a new adventure – move to Sydney, Australia and be the first CEO, Digital for LendLease. I am super excited by the transformation that Smart Buildings and Infrastructure can have to make our lives better along with a better planet. I am proud to have stayed through the difficult times and realized that now was a good time to handoff the mantle of leadership as GE Digital enters a new phase in its life. 

Thanks to all of the people who have provided advice, wisdom and guidance to me especially over the last few months. I also appreciate all of the supportive communications I have received.
