SCOPE OF WORK

The NEXA team worked closely with the global CMMS selection team to create a detailed User Requirement Specification (URS) that covered current processes, future objectives, and required technologies. This collaboration involved engaging with various stakeholders, including Engineering-Maintenance, Calibration & Facilities, IT, and Quality.

The URS thoroughly evaluated the capabilities of the existing system, exploring potential improvements for a more robust CMMS. The selection process prioritized cutting-edge technologies such as IIOT and Factory 4.0. Achieving seamless integration with current systems was essential for building a unified ecosystem.

The selection process followed a three-phase approach:

  • Phase 1: Involved a detailed user requirement assessment tailored to the client’s needs, which was distributed to 14 CMMS providers for completion. After reviewing the results and implementing a scoring matrix, suitable CMMS service providers were identified for the next phase.
  • Phase 2: From the initial 14 systems, four vendors progressed to Phase 2, which involved a 90-minute demonstration followed by a 30-minute Q&A session. The client and NEXA worked closely, sharing a comprehensive agenda with CMMS providers two weeks before the demonstrations. Results were compiled into a detailed report using a scoring matrix. Based on these results, demonstration performance, and other relevant factors, the pool of CMMS providers was narrowed down further leading into Phase 3.
  • Phase 3: In the last phase, chosen CMMS providers received the client’s complete URS for their review and completion. The finalized URS was then carefully evaluated, and a final demonstration was requested to showcase specific system aspects. This step preceded the final decision-making process, involving agreements, pricing negotiations, and implementation planning.
