New CEO at @commercetools?
Co-founder Andrew Burton has been appointed CEO at commercetools effective July 8th 2024. The company frames itself as “The leading composable commerce platform that arms you with the essential tools to evolve, build, and scale at your own pace.”?
Offering solutions in retail, fashion & lifestyle, food & grocery, telco, automotive and healthcare allowing businesses to easily and readily adapt to the ever changing landscape of ecommerce.?
Taking over from Dirk Hoerig who will remain on the board as a Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), @Andrew Burton’s hire will lead the company into its next era of growth, while continuing to invest in innovation and development.?

Tech Partnership expands to focus on innovating the Store Experience and Speed-to-value

The Jumpmind-Logic partnership has empowered retailers to drive innovation and agility on a large scale. With deployments spanning hundreds of store locations, retailers can now go live within months, achieving exceptional and tangible speed-to-value.

Their first job with Build-A-Bear Workshop led to them deploying Jumpmind’s commerce point of sale across 450 stores in U.S., U.K., Canada and Ireland. This point of sale allows for “check out anywhere” allowing a seamless user experience and enless aisle capabilities. This is all made possible via handheld devices.?

A Partnership to Help the Environment
百事 has teamed up with Yara to support the transition of current agricultural practices into the net zero food systems. They intend to provide farmers with crop nutrition programs supporting low-carbon and regenerative agricultural practices.?
“Fertilizer currently makes up most of PepsiCo’s potato carbon footprint in Europe and is therefore one of the biggest opportunities for us to reduce emissions. Our partnership with Yara is expected to support an 80% reduction of fertilizer production emissions, and 20% reduction of in-field emissions by 2030, engaging around 1,000 farms covering 128,000 hectares across the UK and the EU.” Archana Jagannathan , Chief Sustainability Officer, Pepsico stated in a LinkedIn post.
With Sustainability a huge topic and care for many consumers showing their desire to help is a huge step in the right direction for Pepsico and another massive step for Yara international.?
