Leading Ecommerce Platform Announces New Partnership

Ecommerce giants @Shopify announced a new partnership with 甲骨文 to bring more efficient data management and deliver more meaningful commerce experiences.?

甲骨文 intends to use their Oracle Unity Customer Data Platform (CDP) which is part of their Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience (CX) to help business to consumers and direct to consumer companies reach their goals. “Oracle Customer Experience (CX) offers a connected suite of applications that goes beyond traditional CRM to help you create, manage, serve, and nurture lasting customer relationships.”?

Joint customers of Oracle and Shopify will be able to personalise shopping experiences and targeted campaigns. They’re also using AI to power recommendations and offers that will most likely resonate with their audience to increase conversions.

Shopify’s commerce platform supports millions of high-growth retailers,” said Dan Haller , vice president of ecosystem development at Oracle. “With this partnership, retailers can quickly and easily embrace Shopify's unified commerce platform and Oracle's market-leading integrated suite of enterprise applications. With Oracle and Shopify, joint customers will improve finance efficiency, expand inventory visibility, streamline order processing and fulfilment, and enhance the customer experience.”

Similarly to The Wendy's Company new partnership with 百胜集团 in our edition 2 of Newsvolt where they partnered up to increase customer engagement through their Loyalty App. Shopify looks to bring similar features to its users to help keep up with the trends of excellent consumer experiences.?

Technology is Helping Fight Food Waste

Gander , an app focussed on reducing food waste by helping shoppers shop discounted items, has partnered with C-Store Collective to help broaden its scope and enhance availability throughout its app.?

Focussing on the important topic of environmental issues including food waste, Gander are using a topic close to many consumers' hearts whilst also helping them save money. With Amazon looking to reduce carbon emissions and Walmart 3d printing clothes there is a clear trend to see the importance of companies reducing their impact on the environment.?


Shopping through YouTube

Instacart has teamed up with YouTube to enable customers to shop directly through youtube ads. The shoppable ads will leverage Instacarts first party data to identify and reach high-intent consumers, and receive closed-loop measurement. This builds on Instacarts announcement earlier in the year for their Instacart-powered Google Shopping ads collaboration.?

Clorox Abudawood SJV and Publicis Media are among Instacart’s first partners to pilot the capability allowing viewers to click directly on ads to an Instacart product page to purchase featured items for same day delivery.
