           “Does the uniqueness of America still exist?”

The “unique” has turned into “eunuch”, much to my dismay. What was once a beacon for the world to follow has become a 59-cent flashlight it now uses to find its way among the third world nations.

Wa’ happen’?

The once great United Sates switched from being an international watchdog to a local police fully involved in the disputes between Republicans and Democrats, who are bent on destroying this once role-model example of democracy at work.   It is now pitifully struggling to keep its once proud eagle’s head above treacherous waters.

I long for the peaceful days we enjoyed after World War 2, when our main concern was getting ration cards for food and gas for the car, if we were lucky to own one, albeit an old one. The difference lies in our national mindset: we continue to sensationalize the NEGATIVE news we receive daily, while totality failing to aggrandize HAPPY events.

History has proven this principle works for CENTURIES. .George Santayana wrote so succinctly “Those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it”.
