Is it two-parts curiosity, and one-part the necessity of business (so I tell myself), to perfect the art of Networking? How does that work? Actually, I enjoy meeting new people hearing about their business and seeing the joy on a face becoming animated at the telling.

Yes, I’m guilty of checking my email (more than twice a day, oh-no LOL) listening to the radio or the local newspaper looking for invites (I call it keeping up!) I was extremely looking forward to

A Mischievously Fun Night on October 30, hosted by Manasquan Bank. Celebrating their 150th year—now that’s something to celebrate.

Greeted by such a warm and friendly staff, and meeting the President of the Bank, it was easy to see the continued success of the bank. The key was the seemingly approachable atmosphere and the genuine good wishes for an enjoyable evening. And it was.

What made the event notable and I strongly believe is in the Power of the Brand. The stigma of Banks being unapproachable, uncaring machines (almost like we think of AI); and a barrier was lifted. Then what exactly gives the Power to the Brand? Innovation? Celebrity? Product? Referral? Teamwork? Leadership Resilience? Advertising? Satisfying want or need? or Timing? ?I’m a proponent for all of the above inclusive of AI, what about you?

Keep in mind, AI is as simple as asking your favorite AI tool a question.? “Can you find another way to say this…”

I always come back to Nike as the KING of the Power of the Brand. Originally just another sneaker company competing for recognition and sales. The change came when differentiating themselves with the collaboration of a sports icon. A psychological image relatable to everyone secretly living vicariously through the athlete persona. And then: Wham BAM Thank You Ma’am… a star is born!

What’s your answer now? I hope that you give it some thought. It will make my job easier LOL!

It won’t take so long to convince your CEO or CFO for the need to think outside the usual parameter. In fact, even the rectangle is getting a makeover with rounded corners! Because it really is the art of networking bringing people together and the Power of the Brand Superpowered by AI.
