88th Thessaloniki International Fair
The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) participated in the Thessaloniki International Fair at the pavilion of Growthfund. The Fund's executive management and officials from the Project Preparation Facility (PPF), participated in Growthfund’s conference, at Agora, about HRADF's projects and PPF's contribution in key areas, such as the upgrade of the National Health System’s infrastructure and interventions for the protection of forest ecosystems from climate change.

Attica Motorway
On September 12, at an event held at the Numismatic Museum in the presence of the Ministers of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis, and Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Nikos Tachiaos, the CEO of HRADF, Dimitris Politis, the Executive Director of HRADF, Panagiotis Stampoulidis, and the Chairman and CEO of GEK TERNA S.A., Georgios Peristeris, the 25-year concession agreement of Attica Motorway was signed with GEK TERNA S.A., against a total fee of 3.27 billion euros. This is the highest bid in the history of HRADF, which will contribute to the reduction of public debt by approximately 1.5% of the GDP.
Heraklion Port Authority
The Port of Heraklion opens a new chapter of sustainable development, following the acquisition of a majority stake of 67% in the share capital of HPA S.A. by the Grimaldi Group, for a total fee of 80 million euros. The agreement was signed at an event held in Heraklion on September 18, attended by the Ministers of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis, and Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Christos Stylianides. 50% of the 80 million euros fee will be allocated to the "Special Account for Port Infrastructure Development" at the Bank of Greece, created to finance investments for the development and upgrade of the ports in HRADF's portfolio, boosting their competitiveness and the growth prospects of the surrounding regions.
Marina of Pylos
On September 3, the agreement for the concession of the Pylos marina to the consortium of D-Marin and TEMES was signed at HRADF's premises, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni. The concessionaire undertakes the operation of the marina for 40 years for a total fee of at least 1.5 million euros and has committed to the implementation of investments of over 10 million euros to upgrade the infrastructure.
National Ski Center in Vassilitsa (NSCV)
On September 13, HRADF received three offers for the development of the National Ski Center in Vassilitsa from the following schemes:
The preferred investor will be granted the right to use, operate, manage and exploit the National Ski Center in Vassilitsa which covers a total area of approximately 6,200,000 sqm, for a period of at least 25 years. The purpose is to establish NSCV as an attractive hub for mountain tourism catering to visitors throughout the year, thus enhancing regional development.
Project Preparation Facility (PPF)
Industrial and Logistics Park at the "Gonou" former military base
On September 10, HRADF’s Project Preparation Facility (PPF) launched the tender for the development of an industrial park in the former military “Gonou” base in Thessaloniki, on behalf of GAIAOSE.

The Preferred Investor will undertake a concession agreement, of at least 30 years, for the licensing, development, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the logistics park, which will cover a total area of 672,000 m2, while the budget of the project is estimated to 260 million euros.
The deadline for investors to express interest in this project has been set for October 15, 2024.
National Health System
Seven contracts worth 12.3 million euros were signed on September 6 for the upgrade of 10 hospitals (Imathia, Pella – Giannitsa, Edessa, Thessaloniki - "G. Gennimatas" and "Agios Dimitrios", Ilia, Aitoloakarnania, Ioannina "Hatzikosta", Corinth and Eastern Achaia) and 2 Health Centers (Aiginio and Deskati), following tenders prepared and conducted by the PPF. The signing took place at the HRADF pavilion during the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), in the presence of the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, and the Deputy Minister of Health, Eirini Agapidaki.
Environment – Antinero III
In September, three contracts amounting to 6.3 million euros were signed for fire protection projects in forests and forested areas, under the jurisdiction of the forestry departments of Kefalonia and Zakynthos, and the forest offices of Soufli and Polygyros. The tenders carried out by PPF are part of the Forest Protection Plan, Antinero III, implemented to shield forests from the consequences of the climate crisis.
Civil Protection – National Programme “AIGIS”
As part of the National Civil Protection Programme "AIGIS," a contract was signed on September 6, for the procurement of specialised medical equipment for patient transfers, such as isolation and transport capsules for use with ground, sea, and air vehicles.
Moreover, in September, a 48.3 million euros contract was signed for the procurement of various types of vehicles to enhance the operational capabilities of the Fire Service, such as water-carrying fire trucks and other vehicles.
Sustainability, ESG and Climate Change
Cost-Benefit Analysis of the Urban Redevelopment Project: Athenian Riviera – Urban Promenade
In September, the Department of Sustainable Development, ESG, and Climate Change of HRADF initiated a study to assess the economic, environmental, and social impact of the Urban Redevelopment Project of the Athenian Riviera. This project is implemented by HRADF 's Project Preparation Facility (PPF) on behalf of the Region of Attica and the Ministry of Environment and Energy. The purpose of the study is to quantitatively evaluate and highlight the overall impact of the project on the local communities and the national economy.
HRADF’s Participation in the UN Global Compact’s "Target Gender Equality Accelerator" Educational Program
As an official member of the UN Global Compact, HRADF is participating in the Target Gender Equality program, which aims to promote gender equality and empower women in the workplace, market, and society. In September, executives from HRADF’s Sustainable Development, ESG, and Climate Change and the Human Resources Department, attended the first online seminar on the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), which is part of a 9-month programme. The goal is to align the Fund with all seven guiding principles developed by the United Nations (UN) and UN Women, providing the necessary knowledge to support their practical implementation through an action plan for creating an inclusive work environment.
