First Tower Implementation moves to Production

Following the launch of Tower in September 2022, a first implementation went live in Kenya on the 14th of October 2022.

The Tower solution stack is a combination of best-in-class applications and related expertise in chaos engineering, full-stack application performance monitoring, customer journey and experience monitoring, actionable intelligence and auto-remediation. The project took 5 weeks, demonstrating the speed of development and time for value for subscribing clients.

Three more Nathan Claire’s clients in the banking industry have opted to migrate from on-premise to SaaS deployments. With the SaaS option, the Dynatrace cluster is hosted on AWS at no cost to the client, saving each client as much as USD 100,000 annually in hardware and support costs.

Most of today’s R & D spend is going into cloud platforms. Many business application developers including Core Banking System developers are either moving entirely to SaaS offerings, or providing SaaS alternatives. New Client for Dynatrace Application Security

One of the largest aggregators and digital financial services providers in East Africa has successfully implemented Dynatrace Application Security for runtime vulnerability management of all its customer and partner facing channels. Dynatrace App Sec is now detecting and blocking attacks that exploit vulnerabilities while their DevSecOps team works on resolutions. With real-time attack protection in place, the organization has moved from a reactive forensics-based posture to a proactive one.

Based on code-level insights and transaction analysis, attacks can be detected and blocked without configuration, achieving a perfect OWASP benchmark score for injection attacks—100% accuracy and zero false positives.

New Taker for DT Edge application

In response to market direction and clientele feedback, Nathan Claire has released an updated version of its popular DT Edge application, with new features such audits of the performance of entire technology ecosystems.

DT Edge is an on-premise platform that leverages on the wealth of data captured by application performance monitoring solutions as well as data residing in disparate databases within a client’s environment to provide you with OOTB and custom business-focused reports and dashboards, as well as performance indices and calls to action (operational intelligence). The calls to action include lists of frustrated customers or customer segments, most common root cause of technology failures, under-utilized investments, applications that are costly to maintain, underperforming teams or developers, worst performing vendors or partners, technical areas where training or hiring is required.

With this, the IT leadership of organizations can decide and manage their team’s performance by relying on objective, provable and actionable intelligence.

2022 CIO Report is out!
