OGC’s next Member Meeting

Continue to drive OGC Standards and Innovation at the 129th Member Meeting this June 17 - 21 in Montreal. Under the theme "Standards enabling collaboration for global challenges," there will be several special sessions including the Methane Summit, as well as numerous working group sessions covering topics such as Climate Resilience, Marine, and Artificial Intelligence for Geoinformatics (GeoAI).

Geospatial organizations operating in Canada are invited to attend the OGC Canada Forum. This free event is co-located at the 129th OGC Member Meeting in Montreal, with the goal to address Canada's geospatial needs by fostering collaboration on innovation and standards in support of economic growth.

DIS4SME InfoDay

The European DIS4SME Project offers training courses to upskill #SME employees in Digital Transformation strategies. Co-funded under the Digital Europe Programme, courses on location data interoperability will be implemented to boost the entrepreneurial potential of European SMEs and support business growth.

Transportation and Mobility Domain Working Group

The new Transportation and Mobility DWG will provide a forum to discuss and better support the use of geographic information in planning, operating, and optimizing transportation and mobility systems. Public comments are due by May 7.

AI Training Data Markup Language JSON & XML Encodings

The Training Data Markup Language for Artificial Intelligence (TrainingDML-AI) Standard provides a standardized format for training data used in Machine Learning models that involve location or time. Public comments on Parts 2 and 3 of the Standard are due by May 23, 2024.

Features and Geometries JSON – Part 1: Core

Features and Geometries JSON (JSON-FG) is a proposal for GeoJSON extensions that provide standard ways to support certain useful geospatial application contexts. Public comments are due by June 24.

Open Standards Code Sprint

July 10 - 12 | London, UK & Online

This code sprint will be inclusive of all OGC APIs and encodings and will feature special tracks focused on data quality and validators. Non-coding tasks such as testing, documentation work, and issue reporting will also be available for Code Sprint participants.

Innovation Days DC

The theme for the 2024 Innovation Days DC meeting is Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) Futures, featuring keynote speaker Josh Delmonico of the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC).
