Announcing Christy Monaco as COO
The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) is pleased to announce that Christina Monaco will join as Chief Operating Officer (COO) starting September 1, 2024. Previously, Christy was Vice President of Programs at the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) , where she led content development, education, professional development, and marketing activities.
Meet CEO Peter Rabley at Esri UC
OGC CEO Peter Rabley is attending the Esri User Conference in San Diego and is eager to connect with OGC Members. Share your insight and feedback with Peter as we shape the consortium's future together. The Meet & Greet is scheduled for July 16, 3 - 4 pm in Aqua Salon E at the Hilton. It will be followed by an informal gathering at the Odysea Waterfront Lounge. ?Space is limited, so please RSVP to Micah Brachman to secure your spot.
Standards
IndoorGML v2.0 Part 1 – Conceptual Model
The IndoorGML Standard provides a unified approach for indoor spatial information needed for applications like indoor navigation. Unlike other standards that focus on 3D modeling of building interiors, IndoorGML models indoor spaces and their relationships to support location-based services. Part 1 of the standard defines a conceptual model for indoor information using unified modeling language (UML). Public comments are due by August 15.
OGC API – Features – Parts 4 & 5
The OGC API – Features standard ?offers the capability to create, modify, and query spatial data on the Web. It provides guidelines for APIs to share feature data consistently. Part 4 covers how to add, update, modify, and delete geospatial resources, while Part 5 explains how to describe data using a logical schema. Public comments are due by September 23.

Open Standards Code Sprint
July 10 - 12 | London, UK & Online
This code sprint will be inclusive of all OGC Standards but will feature special tracks focused on data quality & AI, validators, and MapML. Non-coding tasks such as testing, documentation work, and issue reporting will also be available for participants.
The 130th Member Meeting
November 4 - 8 | Goyang, Republic of Korea
The 130th Member Meeting is scheduled to take place in Goyang, within the Seoul Capital Area. Sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX), this event will also include a joint conference with the 2024 K-GEO Festa. Registration will open soon.

OGC@30 is a one-day event preceding Innovation Days DC that will feature high-level keynotes and panels from recognized leaders in geospatial and beyond. The event will be followed by a gala and awards dinner with highlights and key people from OGC’s 30 year history. Registration information will be available soon.

Attendees can meet people facing similar challenges to their own and learn how they were overcome, while guiding OGC towards creating impactful solutions to problems faced by people and the planet.
