Emerging SSPA technology and its advantages over existing TWTAs

Although Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) have been used at teleports, gateways, and network hubs since the late 1960s, the number of specialist suppliers servicing these legacy systems has dwindled thereby making it increasingly difficult for operators to maintain reliability. Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) are emerging not only as a solution for lower power Earth station VSAT applications, but also as a total replacement for Ku-Band, X-Band and Ka-Band TWT amplifiers.?

The following is a short survey to help us discover how Earth station operators around the world view emerging SSPA / BUC technology and its advantages over existing TWTAs. Please help us by taking this 2-minute survey to provide us with your valuable insight.

To thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, you will be entered into our draw for the chance to win a US$500 Amazon gift card.
