Global satellite IoT revenue to double between 2024 and 2027

A new study from Juniper Research has found that total global satellite IoT revenue will grow from $2.9 billion in 2024 to $5.8 billion in 2027. Emerging SSPA technology and its advantages over existing TWTAs

Although Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) have been used at teleports, gateways, and network hubs since the late 1960s, the number of specialist suppliers servicing these legacy systems has dwindled thereby making it increasingly difficult for operators to maintain reliability. Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) are emerging not only as a solution for lower power Earth station VSAT applications, but also as a total replacement for Ku-Band, X-Band and Ka-Band TWT amplifiers.?
