Mission Microwave’s latest Ku-band amplifier

Mission Microwave’s latest Ku-band amplifier is a powerful 1,000 watt Block Upconverter (BUC). This ultra-compact BUC weighs in at 68 lbs and is the most advanced Gallium Nitride (GaN) SATCOM product on the market. It provides up to 400 watts of linear power in a multi-carrier environment providing an effective replacement for a large combining networks using multiple smaller amplifiers. The amplifier is designed for outdoor mounting and sustained operation at 60°C. It is designed to be mounted very close to the antenna feed, further reducing the loss from complex waveguide paths required for larger solutions. The one-kilowatt Ku-band version of Mission’s MOAB SSPA/BUC product line will on display in Mission Microwave’s stand 1.F66 during the IBC 2024 Event in Amsterdam in September. Find out more.
