NEWSLETTER + GROUP NAME CHANGE FOR GROWTH ????

I am pleased to announce some very positive changes! ??

So, I wanted to take a moment to address an important change regarding my group and the newsletter. As many of you are aware, this group and newsletter have been named "Structural Engineering with a Sprinkling of BIM" for some time now. This title served its purpose in the past, reflecting my initial focus on the intersection of structural engineering and Building Information Modelling (BIM). However, as there are now more than 570 of you subscribing...my collective interests have grown and as the industry landscape continues to evolve, I believe it's time for a change. ????

Expansion of Interests

Over the last year, my advocacy for digital and sustainable construction has grown, encompassing a wide range of technologies such as AI, VR, AR, IoT, and of course, BIM. As I continue to delve deeper into these areas and become an advocate for their integration into our industry practices, I find that my group and newsletter name no longer fully represents the breadth of intended discussions and resources.

New Name and Alignment

In alignment with this evolution, and to better reflect the diverse range of topics I would like to see covered within the group and newsletter, I have decided to rename both entities to align with my external construction resource blog, BiMiOTAi.COM. ??

In light of this, I am thrilled to announce that I am rebranding the group and newsletter to better reflect the diverse and dynamic nature of our community. The new name will embody the broader spectrum of topics we aim to cover and the inclusive environment we strive to foster. So, the new name of my Linkedin newsletter will just simply be - BiMiOTAi News ??, and the Group, BiMiOTAi Group. ??

Purpose and Apology

This blog has been gaining traction among LinkedIn professionals and serves as a resource hub for current international AEC and MFG industry news. Additionally, it focuses on digital and sustainable construction, alongside the various technologies shaping our field. I understand that this change may cause some initial confusion, and for that, I apologise. ????

Community Growth and Inclusivity

However, I firmly believe that aligning this group and newsletter with the broader scope of our interests will better serve our community and encourage participation from like-minded industry aficionados. ??

It is my hope that this change will not only reflect the collective growth but also foster a more inclusive and engaging environment for all members. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. I am excited about the opportunities this change will bring and look forward to future collaboration and discussions. ??
